I am not ashamed
Before you laugh, let me explain a few things. This was the most unjustly attacked band of the early 90's. The guitarist, Reb Beach, was one of my teenage musical idols. If you listen to both solos with an open mind, you’ll hear why. Grifter, you may recognize the dude on the skins. I still think Kip Winger has a great voice. If you remember, this was the band that Beavis and Butthead’s moron friend really liked. That was the beginning of the end for their spotlight. Lars Ulrich liked to take pot shots at them as well. With all due respect, I think that Lars could learn a thing or five from Rod Morgenstein. At any rate, enjoy.....and you can laugh now.

Winger? Winger? Oh my, this says sooooo much.
AG,
It says that I rock...like a hurricane.
That's Berklee's finest right there. I'd take his work with Dixie Dreggs over the Wing though...just one humble opinion. I can't laugh at your roots, especially when mine involved so much Emmerson Lake and Palmer.
Grift,
NO shame in ELP. I also enjoy the Dregs. I wonder if Winger was his money band. Winger actually became more and more prog with each CD. I think Morgenstein had something to do with that.
Berklee churns out some good musicians don't they?
Those were the days. Back then, mainstream bands were carried by their guitarists. Now, guitarists are a side-note to a dance routine.
No shame in Winger. Especially not when you consider that we have family pictures from that time when all the boys were wearing MC Hammer pants and the girls all had Winger's bangs.
It may say that you rock, but I still cannot shake the image of that lady in the beginning that was dancing in a formal dress. I kind of miss the freaks from the 90s. And yes, you do rock like a hurricane.
Professor,
"Now, guitarists are a side-note to a dance routine."
It's disgusting isn't it. So true, so sad.
Woe is the state of music right now.
Now, guitarists are a side-note to a dance routine. Except in the case of, dare i say it, Dragonforce?
If you haven't feasted from that long-haired table, break out the lobster bibs my friends.
Yes, yes....
My own flesh and blood introduced me to Dragonforce, frankly I still am not sure what to think. They are insanely good, but I'm not sure if I can take the speed.
grandpa fuzzy says to stick with the blues and you cant go wrong! the long hairs and the short hairs come and go, the more pop music changes the more it stays the same. you just have to look as far as britney spears to see that pop stars eat their young. blues is forever!
love poppy
Dad,
Thanks for commenting. It was you cutting my teeth on the blues that gave me a solid appreciation for music.
Besides, if you slow this down, it is the blues. Hell man! You taught me that.
Love ya'
