So, my family and I went home for Thanksgiving. A good time was had by all. It was good to see some of the local landmarks that are tied to my heart. It was even gooder to see everyone.
This is the Teton, it meanders through my Grandmother's property, I was so sure that I would find a super-secret trout hole there. I still cling to this delusion, even after hordes and hordes of suckers and whitefish.
I used to dream of restoring this old stinker. Maybe someday, most likely not. OK, not ever.
My favorite memory of this trip. Going to the Izcalli. By an odd coincidence, Rexburgers who I have never met, read this on occasion. You must go here, it is delicious.
The kids had Wendy's disgustorama instead of Izcalli's and stayed in the Trooper, they preferred this because of the toys in their Kids Meal.
I especially enjoyed the great view of my old friends, the Teton peaks, as I drove to St. Anthony to meet an underworld character who I will post about later. I did not get a picture and I regret it. Those stunning mountains have enamored me since I was just a wee lad.
Here's to cousins.

It seemed warmer when you guys were here. come back soon ok?
love pops
I often miss Rexberg. I could live there easily. I like that we have that overlap. If the winters and the school were milder I would move there as soon as I was finished with school.
Pop,
We will. I shall make this last year and a half the longest that we go without visiting.
Ibid,
Good call on the milder description. Perhaps you could found the English Department of the Upper Snake River Valley Community College?
Think it over.
Voodoo--I totally concur. Now as good a time as any to reminisce: I hope that Pa and Ida-bros know how fun summers were there. I looked forward to it every Spring. Many of my fondest memories--taping fishing poles to bikes and riding to fishing holes, horrible Rick's pool swimsuits/speedos, golf with Grandmother, Blades of Steel, home run derby, driving the Escort, little league, ... , and all of Voodoo's examples--happened there.
The Burg. What to say? Nothing. You said it better already.
we loved having you, we miss you already. see you in a few weeks in your town.
Professor,
We had some good times didn't we? I was thinking of T-Dog's perfect hook reverse crotch kick to that poor dude at Ricks. Funny stuff.
Grift,
I'll accept that complement from the master himself, even if it is untrue. Thanks.
Jake & Terressa,
Thanks. We enjoy the many amenities yous twos provide. Now we can return the favor in the form of an air mattress. Much love.
Man o Man,
Summers were t-Bomb, Fishing, Black eyes(well the one i gave greg for some stupid reason, fishing early in the morning eating white powdered raspberry filled donuts and choclate milk in the back of the Red toyota on the way to Sand Creek. trying to Plan a float trip on the tetons that mom and dad would not let us go on. Late night Headbangers ball. Blades of steel all night till the thumbs hurt.
The T-dawg boot(That guy should have not messed with my little brother!)
Ahh the old days when life was simple (even though with thought it was hard, chores and the flymow!)
Brothers, now hear me out, we need to have a weekend of fishing some summer Weekend. We don;t have to fish nut just get together and have fun like the old days.
I miss all of us being close together. Lets do it and even float the dried up teton in the summer.(we may have to walk most of it but it would be fun.)
Take care bros!
It's so good to see pictures of your kids and the Idaho family! I'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Wish we could have been there.
First thing let me second the motion for the summer brothers float fun fishing fiesta! (SBF4 for short) Let’s swim at the college pool for old time sake. Can you smell the chlorine and feel the chaffing? I think back to the length of time the summers seemed to be and as kid, I guess the activities pursued opened the space time continuum and allowed our minds the bliss of those incredibly lengthy two months. Let us not forget to thank our Grandmother and Father for springing for the pool passes year after year after year…we used them well. I miss having the fun but relish having all of those memories. Just wish I could have seen the t-dawg boot I hear it was a grand site to behold. Love you all and thanks for starting the reminiscing my brothers. We shall again unite. SBF4 forever!
T-Dawg,
I second the motion, we should do something! Island Park, Lava, Grandmother's pasture, Beaver Dick...something.
Kerrie,
I wish you guys were there too. It's been a long time since we were all there.
B.J. (hee, hee)
We should do something. See my response to T-Dawg. Let us brainstorm. See you in a week.
Hello, I found your blog through google. Its very interesting, I liked this post. I would like talk about the CresceNet. CresceNet is a provider of dial up internet that pays your users through connection time. Its exactly what you read. They are paying to connect. The provider pays 20 centavos (Brazilian money) per hour of dial up connection with local calls to more than 2100 cities in Brazil. CresceNet has a fast connection which increases your connection more than ten times faster. Those who use a lot of band width can earn a lot also, when they registrer with CresceNet and when you aren’t connect by dial up, it is possible to pay for ADSL only with the money from the time connected. The hours and minutes you must use are not many, and the payment for using CresceNet is generous. If you want to link Cresce.net in your blog, I would be very thankful, and even successful.
Thanks Joshie Washy,
